Who can forget that scene in the Mercedes-Benz hall in the 2010 Delhi Auto Expo on the grounds of Pragati Maidan? The desert gold SLS AMG with its gullwing doors spread open like, well, the wings of a giant sea gull, the throngs of onlookers cooing with delight at every glimpse every little detail of the big Merc — it was just love at first sight for most.
Walking away from the golden hued beast of imposing proportions left a lot of us broken hearted thinking that we'd never see it again. But thankfully, this is not to be the case as Mercedes-Benz has just launched this exclusive hyper-car in India.
While ownership of such an automotive masterpiece will surely only be within reach of a select few, it's heartwarming to know that one fine day, walking along the streets of Connaught Place, you could actually catch a glimpse of the SLS AMG on the road with your own eyes and actually hear its mighty V8 roar with your own ears. Now that's something we all can look forward to.
